Top 5 Toronto Eats of 2013

Another year has come and gone and with it memories of great meals, fantastic flavours and tasty treats lingered in my taste buds. New joints opened and good old favourites resurfaced. And so, after visiting and reviewing over 30 restaurants this past year, I’ve rounded up my Top 5 Toronto Eats of 2013.

1. Lisa Marie
With an homage to Elvis, the new home to Fidel Gastro’s food truck team opened its doors to patrons early on in 2013 to bring us some of the best fusion food this city has to offer. Read review>>

2. Rock Lobster Food
A new fish market has opened its doors to Torontonians, except this is no ordinary market. The newly opened restaurant by the same people that brought us their seafood delicacies at the Toronto Underground Market, opened a second post this year on the popular Queen West strip. Read review>>

3. North of Brooklyn Pizzeria
The fairly new pizza joint in town is taking take-out and delivery to a whole new level with NYC inspired thin-crust pizzas from former Libretto staff. Read review>>

4. Osteria dei Ganzi
Located in downtown East Toronto, the historic mansion built in 1891 is the home of Osteria dei Ganzi, a place where local Ontario produce, imported Italian products and a “Dolce Vita” atmosphere reside. Read review>>
